Carolina Nonwovens announces new facility

National Spinning Company Inc., headquartered in Washington, N.C., invested in a new facility for its wholly-owned subsidiary, Carolina Nonwovens LLC, in Maiden, N.C., adding 35 new jobs and a state-of-the-art nonwoven production facility to the local economy. “We can now offer quicker turns, a more diverse range of products, and line extension,” says Carolina Nonwovens sales director Randy Cook. During the facility’s grand opening in July, guests included North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory, Mayor Robert Smyre of Maiden and Catawba County Commissioner Randal Isenhower. Processing equipment for the 92,000-square-foot facility was provided by Allertex of America, Cornelius, N.C.
