IFAI adds four to editorial staff

(Roseville, Minn. – October 31, 2006) –- The Industrial Fabrics Association International is pleased to announce that it has added four new editors to its roster.

Chris Tschida is the new editor of Marine Fabricator and Upholstery Journal. Tschida gained extensive publishing experience during his nine-year stint as a writer and editor at PGA TOUR Partners magazine, during which he says his golf game greatly improved. He graduated from the University of Hamline, St. Paul, Minn., with a degree in English.

Sigrid Tornquist is a recent graduate of Metropolitan State University. Last year she completed an internship at North American Membership Group, an experience that solidified her interest in the world of magazine publishing. Tornquist is excited to begin her publishing career as an associate editor for Upholstery Journal and Marine Fabricator magazines.

Juliana Wallace has signed on as editor of InTents magazine. Wallace is a graduate of the University of Minnesota's School of Journalism, and completed her master's degree in sociology at the London School of Economics. While in London, she worked for a publishing company as development editor for education, nonprofit and local government sectors.

Betsy Sundquist is the new Web and copy editor. She studied mass communications and film at Moorhead State University and has more than 20 years of journalism experience, most of it as a reporter for daily newspapers in the Upper Midwest. Most recently she served as national copy editor and a pop-culture columnist for Internet Broadcasting Systems in Mendota Heights, Minn., responsible for editing more than 120 stories daily on news and information Web sites around the country.

Susan Niemi, IFAI's editorial director, is pleased with the direction of editorial at IFAI. "All our magazines are consistently improving, and I believe each of our new editors will bring valuable experience and viewpoints to the process," Niemi says.

The Industrial Fabrics Association International publishes a total of seven magazines: the Industrial Fabric Products Review, Geosynthetics, Fabric Architecture, InTents, Upholstery Journal, Marine Fabricator and the newly launched Fabric Graphics.
