Earlier this year the Professional Awning Manufacturers Association conducted a survey to gauge the value of member benefits and find ways to improve or enhance those benefits, add new ones, or end those of little or no value. The survey also gathered information about market share. The total number of respondents was 56 out of 298 distributed surveys, which equates to a 19 percent response rate.
Questions covered topics concerning member education, marketing, the Awnings Today public relations campaign, social media, sponsorship, editorial and industry visibility, networking, industry information, awning MFC professional certification and the printed membership directory. Feedback indicated an interest in focusing more effort on energy research, marketing and lobbying.
The information from this survey will be used to fine-tune current benefits, find ways to keep members aware of opportunities and benefits that may be of value to them, and strengthen or launch new benefits PAMA members need to be successful.
