During the annual Fabric Graphics Association (FGA) meeting held during IFAI Expo Americas 2011, FGA gave special recognition to Pat Hayes, CPP, president of Fabric Images Inc., for his dedication and service to the industry. Fabric Images, headquartered in Elgin, Ill, has been a member of IFAI since opening its doors in 1992.
Hayes was chairman of the FGA advisory board from 2000 to 2003 and continued on the board until 2011. In addition, he was elected to the IFAI board of directors in 2005 and served two three-year terms.
“In looking back at our firm’s association with IFAI and FGA, our company has significantly benefited from the networking alone, an immeasurable value of our membership,” he says. “In addition, the ability to promote our business through the International Achievement Awards, the prestige gained by certification as either a Master Fabric Craftsman or Certified Project Planner, easily justifies being an ongoing member of IFAI. As I exit from the FGA board of directors, I see graphic creations added to end products as a focal point for the future development of FGA.”
Having always been involved in industrial textile end product manufacturing as a primary business, Fabric Images found IFAI to be as beneficial to their company as print industry associations. “I would highly recommend anyone involved in textiles or the printing of graphics in textiles to join IFAI and FGA,” says Hayes. “It will be money well spent.”
Fabric Images is a family-owned and minority-operated business. They are considered by many to be a leading-edge manufacturer of lightweight, digitally printed tensioned fabric structures. The fabric graphics industry extends its best wishes to Hayes in his retirement from the board and from industry.
