Former IFAI Board Chairman and Honored Life Member Don Williams dies at 74

Don Williams, southwest sales representative for BondCote Corp., passed away on Tuesday, June 9, at his home in Amarillo, Texas. He was 74.

Williams served on the Advanced Textiles Association board of directors from 1985–2001 and as chairman of the board from 1997–1999. An ATA Honored Life Member and a certified Master Fabric Craftsman, he was an active supporter of the association. He attended and participated at numerous IFAI Expos and continually served on multiple committees. In an effort to give back to the industry, Williams was the impetus behind the Industrial Fabrics Foundation Scholarship, which gives funds to students interested in a career in the specialty fabrics industry.

Through a career in the industrial fabrics industry that spanned 50 years, Williams served numerous roles. He was most recently contracted with BondCote Corp. and MMI Textiles as a sales representative.
