Largest North American specialty fabrics trade event to be held in Boston

The breadth and depth of the global specialty fabrics marketplace will be displayed at IFAI Expo Americas 2012 and Advanced Textiles & Safety Conference to be held at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, Boston, Mass., Nov. 7-9, 2012. Hosted by the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) and co-locating with JEC Americas 2012, the show spans more than 104,000 sq. ft. of floor space and is the largest specialty fabrics trade event in the Americas with registered participants from 55+ countries. Attendees get exposed to the latest in textile products, technologies and emerging markets, business strategies and networking at what is considered one of the most powerful buying events in the specialty fabrics industry.

More than 400 exhibitors will showcase the latest in fabrics, fiber, films and chemicals, end products, components, equipment and technology services and will unite with thousands of professionals representing the specialty fabric markets including shading, tents/structures, fabric architecture, green roof systems, graphics/signage, construction, geosynthetics, safety/protective wear, medical, military/government, marine, upholstery, transportation, filtration, agriculture, tarps/covers and more.

IFAI will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a remarkable history museum of the progression of fabric, from canvas to nanotechnologies, and party on the show floor. Some of the most innovative new products that point to the industry’s revolutionary future will be displayed in the ShowStoppers Awards competition to be voted on by show attendees.

“This industry runs on innovation, enabling attendees to get a heads up on emerging markets, technologies and products. The entire specialty fabrics marketplace is represented at IFAI Expo, providing connections throughout the industry’s value chain,” says Todd Lindemann, IFAI vice president of conference management.
