Fabric Architecture wins APEX 2010 Award of Excellence

Roseville, MN - July 2010 - The Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI), the industry leader in industrial fabric publications, has been awarded the APEX 2010 Award of Excellence in the "One-of-a-Kind Print Publication" category for its work on the Fabric Architecture 2010 Sustainability Portfolio.

APEX 2010's Twenty-second Annual Awards for Publication Excellence - an international competition for communications professionals - based its awards on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. APEX Awards of Excellence recognize exceptional entries in each of the individual categories.

With more than 3,700 entries, competition was exceptionally intense; 1,132 Awards of Excellence were presented to honor outstanding work in 127 communications categories under 11 main headings including: newsletters; magazines and journals; magapapers and newspapers; annual reports; brochures, manuals and reports; electronic and video publications; Web and intranet sites; campaigns, programs and plans; writing; design and illustration; and one-of-a-kind publications.

According to the APEX 2010 judges, "The awards were based on excellence in graphic design, quality of editorial content and the success of the entry in conveying the message and achieving overall communications effectiveness" from newsletters and magazines to annual reports, brochures and websites.

The Fabric Architecture Sustainability Portfolio is an annual showcase of projects with sources for all related suppliers and fabricators of fabric architecture, awnings, canopies and shade systems. This is the main issue distributed at the AIA national convention.
