IFAI member Fabritex Inc. in Hartwell, Ga., has been awarded a multiyear tensioned fabric structure contract from NATO.
Fabritex will supply a minimum of eight structures to Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Ga., to be used as temporary hangers for C-130 aircraft that are undergoing routine maintenance.
“This is an excellent opportunity for Fabritex and our Atlas Structures line,” said Fabritex President Lee Adams. “This will allow us to continue to grow our structure business and provide jobs in an uncertain economy.”
Fabritex, founded in 1989, provides metal fabrication services for a variety of industries. The company’s fabric structures are used for both temporary events and semipermanent installations and have been used for hospitality tents at PGA Tour events, farmers markets, athletic arenas and multiuse facilities for the military. The Atlas Structures line has been used for temporary hangars for many types of aircraft.
