Flatbed printer features three-zone vacuum-controlled system

Published On: November 1, 2007

The Jeti 3148 UV flatbed printer table from Gandinnovations has a three-zone vacuum-controlled system that eliminates any masking or area covering when printing. The pin registration system allows for fast and accurate substrate loading and unloading; this can be preformed by one person because the print area is very accessible on the flatbed table. A strong vacuum table holds virtually any rigid material in place up to 2 inches (5 cm) in thickness. The Jeti 3148 features 48 Spectra high performance print heads and a 5-by-10-foot (1.52-by-3.04-meter) printing area. The 48 heads allows for ink designation of eight heads per color, allowing six color combinations, and can achieve printing speeds of 500 sqft/hr (45 sqm/hr) in production mode. The flatbed table, using linear motion to control movement, ensures accurate registration every time on rigid and flexible materials.
