Niagara Health Systems, Ontario’s largest multi-site hospital system, called its $40-million fundraising campaign for the Walker Family Cancer Centre “It’s Our Time.” The Howes family, owners of Lincoln Fabrics Inc., St. Catharine’s, Ontario, Canada, decided it was their time, donating $1 million to the campaign.

Lincoln Fabrics, led by David Howes, has been in the industrial textiles business since it was founded by A. Stewart Howes in 1955. The company has expanded from its original focus of nylon and polyester to fire-resistant and ballistic fabrics, and has expanded into the U.S. market with a second manufacturing facility in Geneva, Alabama.
