PVC-free upholstery collection balances design and performance

Published On: September 1, 2008

The Patterned PVC-Free Upholstery Collection from C.F. Stinson brings performance, sustainability and design into balance. Similar in performance to conventional vinyl, but with a softer hand, the products contain no polyvinyl chloride (and also no phthalates, plasticizers, halogenated flame retardants or fluorocarbons), and are antimicrobial and bleach-cleanable. The silver-based, broad-spectrum antimicrobial system is built in to the product itself, not topically applied, and will not wash off or abrade over time. The fabrics are impervious to fluids, exceptionally strong and exceed 200 hours of light fastness, offering an effective choice for health care and other high-use applications. The collection includes three patterns—Hoopla, Eclipse and Flutter—each available with an array of colors, soft and luxurious to the touch.
