ITAA names new president

Nora MacDonald, a West Virginia University (WVU) professor in the fashion design and merchandising program, has been named president-elect of the International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA). MacDonald came to WVU in 1971 as a textiles, apparel and merchandising instructor. In addition to teaching, she conducts research and creative activities related to clothing for the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as educational pedagogy, retail accessibility, original apparel designs and design exhibitions. She will assume the duties of president on Aug. 31, 2009 until Sept. 1, 2010, and will be a counselor through Aug. 31, 2011.
