The Brooklyn Bridge Conservancy wanted a temporary solution to mask ongoing park improvement construction, contain dust and debris, promote the future look of the park and thank their sponsors. Banner Creations provided 2500 square feet of printed banners made from Ecophab™ by Carolina Mill, a fabric made from 100 percent recycled plastic bottles, for an environmentally friendly solution. Though typically used indoors, the fabric worked because the banners were to be used for a short time and removed during the winter. Slits in the fabric spilled the wind without detracting from the images. The banner barrier was installed in the summer of 2008 and will be reinstalled this summer.
