It recently awarded Dr. Seshadri Ramkumar, associate professor of nonwoven materials at Texas Tech University, with the “Scientist of the Year” award for his development of the Fibertect decontamination wipe. In a head-to-head test with 30 other products conducted by the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Fibertect wipes were the best for cleaning up chemical warfare agents and toxic chemicals.
