Plastic adhesive snap components for marine use
YKK Snap Fasteners America Inc. has introduced plastic adhesive snap components for the marine industry. Unlike traditional metal screw studs, the product will not snag clothing or deteriorate from exposure to sunlight, sand and dirt; and its unique dome shape allows it to be walked on without pain. On its underside is a pad of acrylic conformable foam adhesive that allows the snap to adhere to boat surfaces without having to drill a hole. Simply clean the surface to which the snap is to be applied, peel off the protective paper backing, position and firmly hold the snap in place. No tools, no cracks, no splinters. The snap will function with all major brands of marine hardware.
