The Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre in New South Wales offers the public an interactive leisure pool, waterslide, barbeque and picnic area, covered grandstand and refurbished outdoor olympic pool. An innovative solution by UFS Australasia met the client’s request for a suspended ceiling that was not susceptible to corrosion from moisture. The fabric ceiling is also dirt resistant, easy to maintain and manages acoustics by allowing the internal sound to dissipate in the ceiling void. A new installation technique using special tracks fixed to the main rafters provided a tensioned flat fabric panel and reduced installation time.
