“Senior Ballistic”

In a recent bid, I’ve had a client quote a fabric called “Senior Ballistic.” I’m familiar with ballistic nylon, but how is “Senior Ballistic” different?

It’s not a different fabric as much as it’s a more specific way of referring to it. “Senior Ballistic” is, according to the supplier we talked to, one way of indicating a woven ballistic nylon that is made with 1050 denier nylon. A “Junior Ballistic” is made with 840 denier nylon. They are similar materials, but you can expect one to be a little heavier than the other.
