Organizers of SGIA Expo and IFAI Expo Americas have announced plans to co-locate their 2013 events at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. The events will take place October 23-25, 2013, drawing potentially more than 25,000 visitors and 900 exhibitors.

“The SGIA Expo is all about maximizing opportunities in diverse markets,” says Michael Robertson, SGIA president and CEO. “SGIA and ATA will work together to advance the use of imaged specialty fabrics for a wide range of applications.”

The two expositions are well matched for those involved with graphics on flexible materials: SGIA Expo features the latest specialty imaging trends and technologies, attracting participants from a wide range of imaging sectors, and IFAI Expo Americas is the focal point for the specialty fabrics industry in the Americas.

According to Stephen M. Warner, president and CEO of the Advanced Textiles Association, “This co-location makes strategic sense. One location produces incredible value for both the visitors and the exhibitors. Bringing these two leading events together provides a unique occasion for participants in all levels of the value chain to network and share industry knowledge.”

Robertson agrees, saying, “It will build a better understanding for the SGIA community of specialty fabrics and how the material can be used in the imaging marketplace; and the ATA community will have extensive exposure to new imaging and finishing technologies they normally wouldn’t see at IFAI Expo Americas.”

Though plans are still in the earliest stages, SGIA and ATA are committed to making 2013 a successful co-location destination.
