Rainier Industries approached the University of Wyoming with a proposal to transform the school’s stadium with new banners and signage. The proposal was accepted and a partnership was formed over the course of a few months’ time. The transformation consisted of several fabric structures, including banners, air vent wraps and wall coverings that drew from Rainer’s technical, design and fabrication strengths. Eight-foot banners, printed with a Durst Rho 500 on 20-ounce, Ultrasmooth blockout vinyl, now flank the entrance corridor. Because the banners were double-sided, aligning them exactly for printing, as well as curing the ink correctly, required careful attention to detail.
