The Advanced Textiles Association (ATA) announced the winners of the 2010 International Achievement Awards (IAA) for design excellence in specialty fabrics applications. The award ceremony took place at IFAI Expo Americas 2010 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., where the annual trade event ran from Oct. 27-29.

For more than six decades, the IAA program has recognized excellence in design and innovation. Entrants are encouraged to submit projects and compete in 29 categories. This year, ATA received 383 entries from 13 countries.

Industry experts, editors, architects, educators and design professionals, selected for their knowledge in a particular field of study or product area, judged the entries and selected winners based on complexity, design, workmanship, uniqueness and function.
