Fabric Images obtained funding for expansion from the city of Elgin, Ill. City leaders signed off on $87,000 in incentives, plus other in-kind assistance, to the company in its expansion. Fabric Images, headquartered in Elgin since 1992, moved to a 155,000-square-foot facility at 225 Corporate Drive in December.

According to the agreement, the city will pay Fabric Images $500 for every new job it creates that pays $30,000 a year. The incentive is $1,000 if the company hires an Elgin resident.
