Announcing IFAI Expo Asia 2012 in Singapore

Published On: May 18, 2011

IFAI Expo Asia 2012 will return to Singapore next year after its successful premiere in March at the Marina Bay Sands. The next event will take place June 26-28, 2012, at the Suntec Singapore International Exhibition Centre.

ATA president and CEO Stephen M. Warner commented that the feedback on IFAI Expo Asia 2011 was extremely positive. “Many of the exhibitors told us that this trade show was a long time coming—a show in the Asia Pacific region specifically focused on the growing technical textiles marketplace.” Technical textiles represent a world market estimated at $123 billion in 2010.

IFAI Expo Asia 2011, organized by the Advanced Textiles Association (ATA), attracted more than 1,400 registered participants from 39 countries. Large buyer delegations attended from Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Australia and Japan, as well as a surprising number of visitors from North America, Africa, the Middle East and Europe.

“We were very pleased with the results,” said Warner. “The mission of our organization is to provide the marketplace for the industry to gather and exchange information. There is a tremendous interest in the region in high-performance fabrics, and ATA intends to lead the way.”
