Seminars for small businesses entering international markets

The Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) is organizing two seminars this autumn—Sept. 29 in Orange, Calif., and Oct. 26 in Miami, Fla.—for U.S. small businesses looking to expand into emerging markets. These ‘Expanding Horizons’ seminars will provide companies with information about the various finance and political risk insurance products offered by OPIC, the U.S. government agency that has helped hundreds of small and mid-sized businesses expand and invest in more than 150 countries in Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

These seminars will help businesses learn how OPIC can help them raise capital for their international projects and protect themselves against political risks, and how complementary products from other U.S. government agencies can help them get international business deals done. Speakers will include senior officials from OPIC, the U.S. Commercial Service, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the U.S. Export-Import Bank and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. Participants will also have the opportunity to arrange one-on-one meetings with OPIC and other U.S. government officials.
