Camira Fabrics celebrates a full year in North America

Textile innovator Camira Fabrics has gone from being an unknown new entrant to the North American interiors marketplace to forging a growing reputation for inspirational commercial interior fabrics. During the last 12 months, the company has won a Bloom Award for its celebrated wool-nettle fabric Sting, become a principal member of ACT (Association for Contract Textiles), and recruited sales representation throughout the United States and Canada.

New fabrics include the David Fox designed patterns Adrenalin, Adrenalin Satin, Nuna and Nuna Mélange (launched at this year’s NeoCon) and the Celtic-inspired luxurious felted wool called Blazer Check. Textured chunky wool Craggan will be introduced later this fall.

The company is recognized for its deep dyed natural wool textiles and has unrivalled expertise in making groundbreaking new fabrics from innovative wool and bast fiber blends. Industry first Sting, made from wool and nettle fiber from harvested plants, will next year be joined by a new wool-hemp fabric which enjoyed a successful NeoCon preview.
