Modular drapery panel sets the scene

Atomic Design, Lititz, Pa., backs up some big names in the entertainment, brand communication and corporate event industries, with clients that include country singer Martina McBride, singer-songwriter Elvis Costello, Target and Nike. The company rents out scenic elements, lighting gear, constructed environments and soft goods, including its new modular drapery panel, the Buule (rhymes with jewel).

The elegant Buule panels can be seamlessly attached to one another in five-foot increments, allowing the client to use one to create a column effect or a wall-to-wall curtain of draping cloth. A 30-by-50 foot Buule backdrop packs into a 24-inch cube for shipping and transportation. With varied lighting, the Buule can resemble a Viennese theater, forest of pine trees or private boudoir. Fabrics can also be custom printed.
