EFI demonstrates Cretaprint at Ceramics China

Published On: May 29, 2012

Electronics For Imaging Inc. (EFI), a world leader in digital printing, will be showcasing EFI Cretaprint at Asia’s leading trade show for the ceramics industry, Ceramics China Guangzhou 2012, May 28–31. The event is expected to attract more than 60,000 visitors and exhibitors from more than 20 countries.

Industry analysts project rapid growth in ceramic tile inkjet printing, with a clear financial case for investing in inkjet printing and color management technologies. The analog to digital transformation is well underway in the commercial printing and sign and display graphics industries, where EFI has played a role in the transition. “When we entered the sign and display graphics industry with our VUTEk product line, most companies had little to no automation, workflow, color management or MIS capabilities,” said Ghilad Dziesietnik, chief technology officer at EFI. “Applying EFI expertise to this market has helped speed its transformation, and we are looking forward to achieving the same type of results in ceramic tile printing.”

“Since our entry into the industrial ceramics industry earlier this year, the EFI Cretaprint team has been working to bring our inkjet and color management expertise combined with our tradition of Silicon Valley innovation to this exciting, growing market,” said Guy Gecht, CEO of EFI. “Ceramics China is a perfect international venue for the debut of our latest inkjet technology and to announce EFI’s new facility in Foshan. We are looking forward to exciting and successful long-term partnerships in the world’s largest ceramics market.”
