Iverson’s Design created the plan for a complete cockpit enclosure on a sailboat, including dodger, bimini, connector panel and sunshade mesh enclosure panels. All components of this enclosure are removable so the boat owner has a variety of options. The company also outfitted it with side and back grab rails, integrated storage pockets, overhead flashlight pocket with flashlight, forward rigid strut grab rails over the companion way entrance, and back strut grab rails for entering and exiting the cockpit and window covers. The project was complex due to the unique shape of the cockpit, the location of the boom “crutch” and the mizzen mast, but the final result was a complete success. By using complementary colors and integrating different materials, the aesthetic design of this enclosure system became an asset to the boat’s classic style.
