Paul’s Custom Canvas designed and fabricated the new upholstery for the cockpit of a used 32-foot Fountain boat, following the client’s own design idea, including the Fountain logo on the headrests and back sun pad—upholstered rather than embroidered for a long-lasting impression. Due to its complexity, the logo pattern was done in a print shop for an accurate rendering. The headrest took 45 pieces and the sun pad took more than 90 pieces to complete. To correct a problem with water pooling in the crevasses of the original seats, the seats were redesigned and fabricated with new foam that would shed the water, but maintain the boat’s style. The client was so pleased with the results that he had the company make a cockpit cover to protect the newly upholstered interior.
