Phifer introduces eco-friendly SheerWeave® Infinity™ fabrics

Published On: August 20, 2012

Phifer Inc. has unveiled eco-friendly SheerWeave® Infinity2™, 100 percent recyclable, PVC- and lead-free window shade fabrics. Infinity2 is woven from the only core yarn, synthetic or natural, that is born out of post-industrial waste by-product. Through production advancements, it offers a thinner, more lightweight fabric over its predecessor, SheerWeave Infinity, for an overall improved look and easier fabrication.

Emulating the look and engineering of standard SheerWeave fabrics, Infinity2’s yarn coating is developed from the same compound family as its core yarn. It also provides the same solar heat and glare control properties, elevating window treatments from mere decoration to high performance tools for conserving energy, harnessing natural light and maintaining interior comfort levels. Available in nine colors and in 63- and 98-inch widths.

Infinity2 is GREENGUARD® certified for superior indoor air quality performance, and is also certified as meeting the more stringent GREENGUARD Children & Schools standards for commercial use and achieving the new, elite GREENGUARD Select certification. SheerWeave fabrics are woven to reduce heat and glare at windows, improve air conditioning efficiency and protect interior furnishings from fading while maintaining excellent outward visibility.
