The American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) has won another Tabbie award, this time for an in-depth feature article on environmental issues entitled “Staying Alive: Making Textiles Sustainable.” The article was published in the November/December 2011 issue of AATCC Review, the journal of AATCC, and was written by Maria Thiry, the association’s publications and membership director. The 2012 Tabbie is AATCC’s 14th award for an article published in the association’s journal or newsletter.

The annual Tabbie Awards are sponsored by Trade Association Business Publications International (TABPI). Nearly 500 editorial and design entries from around the globe were entered in the 2012 contest. “Staying Alive: Making Textiles Sustainable” won an Honorable Mention and represents Thiry’s ninth writing award received while working for AATCC.
