Sherman Hospital is a Regional Hospital Coordinating Center (RHCC) with the responsibility for providing disaster preparedness assets for the Elgin, Ill., region. Acknowledging a need to provide better off-site medical care during disasters, Sherman RHCC made an investment in rapid deployment tents that will allow it to provide field hospitals, clinics, decontamination showers, command posts and air-conditioned rehab shelters. Losberger Rapid Deployment Shelters (RDS), distributed by Traube Tents & Structures, were chosen as their core shelter module. The inflatable shelters are quick to install, durable and weather resistant. Using RDS technology, the hospital will be able to quickly mobilize in the field and on demand. Traube Tents is a founding partner with Losberger US of the National RDS Dealer Rental Program.
