The Advanced Textiles Association (ATA) is pleased to announce a collaborative agreement has been signed with Clarion Events North America surrounding Clarion’s annual ExpoProducción event in Mexico City. The collaboration will include an ATA Pavilion and Conference to be held within the annual ExpoProducción trade show at the World Trade Center in Mexico City, Feb. 5-7, 2014.

The inaugural version of Clarion’s ExpoProducción show focused on apparel manufacturing, ATA’s inclusion in the second edition of the show will expand that focus into the specialty fabrics and advanced textiles marketplace. This new collaboration will also allow the two organizations to explore further cooperation in the development of other textile events in the Americas and globally.

Todd Lindemann, vice president, ATA, said, “ATA is very excited to announce this collaboration with Clarion in Mexico, and for the potential opportunities that lie ahead. This is a great low-cost, low-risk opportunity for our industry to gain instant exposure to an adjacent, growing market. David Audrain and his team at Clarion are experienced and well respected, and we look forward to working with them!”

David Audrain, president & CEO of Clarion Events North America, stated, “ATA is a world-renowned organization with a long history of producing successful events. We are extremely pleased to have them partner with us in the expansion of our ExpoProducción show in Mexico City. There is a great deal of interest in Mexico and Central America for the types of specialty fabrics and related products provided through the ATA members. The addition of the ATA Specialty Fabrics Pavilion and Conference as part of ExpoProducción will bring a new market and group of decision makers to the event thereby enhancing the scope and appeal of the trade show.”

ATA is the largest and longest-running textile trade organization in the world. It publishes six market-specific magazines in print and online; organizes industry events such as Specialty Fabrics Expo and the Advanced Textiles Conference & Trade Show (Orlando, Fla., Oct. 23-25); and supports the growth of nearly 1,900 member companies worldwide.

Clarion Events is one of the world’s leading independent event organizers, staging more than 200 events annually across the globe. More than 12,000 companies trust Clarion with their participation each year and more than 700,000 people give their valuable time to visit these events. This success has come from identifying high value, niche audiences in difficult-to-reach markets and then building them into market-leading products. From just 70 employees in one office in 2004, there are now more than 400 people working directly for Clarion Events from 13 offices in 10 different countries.
