Wagner adds Bystronic laser cutting system

Published On: June 17, 2013

Milwaukee, Wis.-based Wagner Companies has added the Bystronic BySprint Fiber laser cutting system to its manufacturing operation. The BySprint Fiber laser relies on high-tech fiber-optic technology to cut varying metals with precision and speed.

The BySprint Fiber provides high efficient cutting, integrated automation and is highly energy efficient. It can cut thin to medium-thick sheet materials including steel, aluminum, stainless steel and other non-ferrous metals. Unlike CO₂ laser cutting systems, gas is no longer required, which reduces operating costs.

The laser cutting system uses 4,000 watts of focused power to process steel plates up to 5/8 inch, aluminum up to 3/8 inch, stainless steel up to ½ inch, galvanized steel up to 3/16 inch and other non-ferrous metals up to 5/16 inch. The BySprint Fiber laser features a 60 inch by 120 inch bed and utilizes cutting-edge programming software for accurate and reliable production.

The BySprint Fiber laser cutting system also includes the ByTrans Extended loading system that allows for fast job processing; a complete loading and unloading cycle takes only 60 seconds and makes the laser cutting system fully automatic.
