Bonar, a Dutch producer and supplier of synthetic nonwovens, wovens, three-dimensional polymeric mats and composites for a variety of industrial applications, has acquired Texiplast a.s., a Slovakian manufacturer of woven and knitted geosynthetic fabrics for retaining walls, roads, landfills and other infrastructure. Texiplast (formerly known as the Kordarna Geosynthetics Division) was purchased in September for €19.5 million. The acquisition increases Bonar’s product offerings in the civil engineering market to include high-strength reinforcement geotextiles.
