Leister Technologies acquires Seamtek Inc.
Leister SEAMTEK 36 will debut at IFAI Expo.
Swiss-based Leister Technologies, a worldwide leader in plastic welding and hot-air equipment, has acquired Seamtek Inc. of Sandpoint, Idaho. Seamtek has been manufacturing hot-air welding and seaming equipment for the technical textile industry since 1996. The strategic move will enable Leister to provide best-in-class manufacturing facilities, a worldwide network of service centers and an enhanced portfolio of hot-air welding equipment.
The production of the Seamtek product lines has been relocated to Leister’s ISO: 9001-certifed manufacturing facility in Switzerland. Leister will debut the new Leister SEAMTEK 36 stationary welding machine, which ensures perfectly welded, long-lasting seams, at the ATA Specialty Fabrics Expo in Minneapolis in October.
