Based in Istanbul, Turkey, Isilsan Plastik is a global supplier of high-tech bobbins for ring spinning and yarn and thread processing and dyeing. After identifying a need to improve its products’ performance and lifetime, the company turned to Avon Lake, Ohio-based PolyOne, choosing the LubriOne™ wear-resistant polymer formulation to increase its machinery uptime.
LubriOne compounds are formulated to be self-lubricating materials and offer wear resistance; reduced friction, heat buildup, noise and vibration; lower power requirements; low maintenance; design flexibility; and reduced weight.
Isilsan injection molds its bushings in-house and now generates 50 percent less production scrap, with cycle times reduced by 40 percent. Using LubriOne, the bushings have extended durability and better wear resistance, helping Isilsan customers to run their machines at 20,000 rpm speed lines with less maintenance-related downtime.
