PA Group USA, Chattanooga, Tenn., has fully implemented manufacturing software at one manufacturing division of Tuscaloosa, Ala.-based Phifer Inc., one of the world’s largest manufacturers of aluminum and fiberglass insect screening.

The machine monitoring, planning and scheduling, and product life cycle management software solutions will enhance lean manufacturing practices. The three software components are part of a suite of solutions commonly referred to as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) that are focused on giving manufacturing executives greater visibility into manufacturing operations.

PA Group has published a case study to highlight the software implementation process and business outcomes of the Phifer MES project, and will showcase it at IFAI Expo 2015 in Anaheim, Calif., Oct 6–9. Two more Phifer divisions are scheduled to go live this summer.
