Inkjet textile printing promises to be a high-growth industry, and Electronics For Imaging Inc. (EFI), Fremont, Calif., took a leading role in the transition from analog to digital textile printing with the acquisition of Reggiani Macchine, Bergamo, Italy.

Reggiani provides industrial inkjet printers using water-based inks for fabric printing. The new EFI Reggiani will offer a full range of industrial solutions for textile manufacturers, including printers for fashion and home furnishing textiles.

EFI’s integrated product portfolio includes digital front-end servers; superwide, wide-format, label and ceramic inkjet presses and inks; production workflow, web-to-print and business automation software; and enterprise, office and mobile cloud solutions.
