INVISTA, a worldwide integrated producer of polymers and fibers, has announced that the company’s CORDURA® brand has developed the strongest nylon-6,6 staple fiber ever produced by the company. T420HT high-tenacity fiber, which will enhance the core strength of CORDURA fabrics, is the result of an intensive two-year research and design process. Already adopted by a major international military, CORDURA nylon/cotton fabric blends based on the new fiber are undergoing extensive wear trialing for next generation combat uniforms. The Dickies brand has also adopted the fiber for a work-wear collection available fall 2017.
