Superior Ink Printing, Denver, Colo., has received the Certifiably Green Denver Certificate after a yearlong effort to convert their business to a more sustainable platform. To qualify for the certification, Superior Ink went through a full assessment process by a Certifiably Green Sustainability Advisor and made all required changes. These changes range from implementing a filtration system for their drains to installing a recirculating tank for washing screens and squeegees. The screen printing company has gone above and beyond the standard necessary for this certification including converting to all green cleaning solutions and offering water-based printing options. In addition, they donate excess apparel to local shelters and organizations, and they reuse t-shirt scraps as rags in the shop.
