IFAI magazines win six awards at MMPA ceremony

Awards include two gold and four bronze.

ATA magazines won a total of six awards at the 21st annual Minnesota Magazine & Publishing Association (MMPA) Excellence Awards ceremony held on November 2 in Minneapolis, Minn.

The Excellence Awards competition was created to recognize and foster outstanding publishing achievement. Winners were chosen by a panel of judges selected and assigned based on their expertise, experience and ability to judge entries fairly.

Galynn Nordstrom, senior editor of Specialty Fabrics Review, also took home the Greg Carey Leadership Award, which recognizes outstanding volunteer efforts to support the MMPA.

Gold award winners include: Specialty Fabrics Review June 2017 issue: Single-topic Issue, Special Section, or Special Supplement; and Specialty Fabrics Review for Overall Excellence.

Fabric Architecture won a bronze award for its “Resource Guide 2017” in the Directory: All Publications category. 

InTents was honored with a bronze award for “Stand-Out Weddings” in the Single Page or Spread Design category.

The Review also won two bronze awards: “Inside and Out” in the Feature Article category, and “Beware the local radishes” in the Editor’s or Publisher’s Editorial or Letter to the Readers category.
