As a global supplier to the diverse textile market, MMI Textiles, headquartered in Westlake, is often called upon for the products and components needed for medical industry professionals. Today that call is greater than ever.

“We’re seeing unprecedented demand,” said Amy Bircher, president and founder of MMI Textiles. “Today alone we are sourcing all sorts of textiles and trims and expediting those mass orders to support some of the hardest hit areas by COVID-19.”

MMI’s wide range of products include fabrics, hook and loop, hardware, elastics, and more. Many of the products have features and finishes such as: antimicrobial, fire retardant treatments, anti-static, breathability, wicking, and water resistance.

“We have been called on by many to help provide textiles that serve the personal protection needs of the medical industry,” said Bircher. “We are doing all we can to gather our sourcing, stock up on those needs that are requested and be ready to step up if, and when, they need us.”

To maintain the highest level of service while also ensuring a healthy and safe work environment for teammates, MMI is staggering work hours and allowing employees to telecommute.
