The coronavirus pandemic has revealed the dangers of U.S. dependence on imports for critical manufacturing needs. From face masks to pharmaceuticals to ventilators, the U.S. was ill-prepared to ramp up production in the wake of the crisis.

Textile professionals are invited to join the Alliance for American Manufacturing for an online event Thursday, May 21, at 3 p.m. Eastern Time, examining what the U.S. needs to do to bring manufacturing home and be better prepared for events like that created by the COVID-19 pandemic. Register today and take part in the conversation online by using the hashtag #AmericanMade.

NCTO’s president and CEO Kim Glas will speak at the conference about the U.S. textile industry and the importance of strengthening domestic supply chains. Other speakers include U.S. Senators Sherrod Brown, Marco Rubio and Tammy Baldwin.
