In the second of this two-part webinar series we will discuss the importance of geosynthetic interface strengths on slope stability, when to use peak and residual geosynthetic interface strengths; how to develop minimum shear strengths for specifications; measurement of geosynthetic and GCL interface strengths using single and multi-interface tests; and how to develop a shear testing work plan for a commercial laboratory that yields meaningful data.

Dr. Stark is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) with an expertise in Geotechnical Engineering. Dr. Stark has been conducting research on geomembranes and other geosynthetics for over twenty years. He is the technical director of the Fabricated Geomembrane Institute at the UIUC.
