Sponsored by the Safety and Protective Products Division and the Narrow Fabrics Division of the Advanced Textiles Association (ATA), the Safety Products Student Design Challenge is an annual event that encourages college and university students of design, textiles, engineering and allied fields to solve safety and protection problems using high-performance textiles and narrow fabrics in functional designs. In addition to designing functional safety and protective products using textiles as the major components, students build their resumes and portfolios and network with industry professionals—as well as win cash prizes for first, second and third place.

Deadline for entries for the 2010 competition is Feb. 26, 2010. For more details and entry information, visit www.safetyfabrics.com or www.narrowfabrics.com.
